Yun Rose Li, MD, Ph.D.

Rose was born in Beijing, China and graduated from Duke University summa cum laude in chemistry in 2010, she completed her MD/PhD at the University of Pennsylvania/Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia in genomics and computational biology, supported by the Paul and Daily Soros Fellowship for New Americans. Her work has resulted in first author publications in the Nature Medicine, Nature Communication, and Science Signaling and coauthored manuscripts in Nature, Science, and the Lancet as well as several patents. She is completing a radiation oncology residency at the University of California San Francisco, and is a champion for patient education and palliative care. She loves writing poetry, traveling the world and horse-backing riding.
