ACRO New Practitioner Committee SEED Grant Details and Application

    The American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO) New Practitioner Committee is proud to offer a funding opportunity for members of ACRO. The committee is acutely aware of the benefit that monetary support for small projects can provide. Given the increased difficulty in obtaining funding, the New Practitioner Committee is providing a SEED grant to fund small but worthwhile projects.

    Scholarship Details

    • ACRO will provide a $1,300 grant to a new practicing physician that is within 5 years of residency training completion.
      • Award member must provide a 1 page interim report of his/her project by December 15, 2020.
      • The Award recipient must submit his/her project for presentation at the ACRO 2021 Annual Meeting and make arrangements to attend the meeting.
      • The scholarship will be provided after the project has been submitted and accepted by the scientific planning committee.
      • Final acceptance and disbursement of funds is subject to review by the ACRO New Practitioner Committee.


    • Applicants must be members of ACRO
    • Applicants must be a new practitioner within 5 years of completion of radiation oncology training
    • Applicants may list a primary mentor for their project (if applicable)
    • All submissions must include the following:
      • Application Form
      • Applicant’s Curriculum Vitae
      • Letter of Support from the Project Mentor (if applicable)
    • Submissions must be sent via this form, by no later than 11:59 PM Eastern Time September 15th, 2020.
    • Submissions will be assessed and scholarships will be awarded by members of the ACRO New Practitioner Committee with input from the Board of Chancellors as requested.

    Applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM on September 15th, 2020 via this online form and the supporting materials can be uploaded directly from this form.
