Dr. Jonathan W. Lischalk pursued his undergraduate studies in neuroscience and biochemistry at the University of Washington. He completed his medical training at the University of Washington School of Medicine in 2012. His post-graduate medical education includes completion of a preliminary internal medicine internship at Stamford Hospital/Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2013. As a radiation oncology resident he pursued an international selective at the Heidelberg University Hospital in Heidelberg, Germany focused on technique and delivery of particle therapy, specifically proton and carbon treatment. He completed additional proton therapy training at the Massachusetts General Hospital Francis H. Burr Proton Beam Therapy Center.
He is actively involved in collaborative research between the Georgetown University Hospital and the National Institute of Standards and Technology focused on analysis of ccfDNA using scanning microscopy fluoroscopic technique. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications with a focus on SRS and SBRT treatment in the management of CNS, gastrointestinal, and thoracic malignancies. Dr. Lischalk is currently a PGY-5 radiation oncology resident at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC.
