The ACRO Resident Committee launched the Mentor Match at the 2012 Annual Meeting. The ACRO Mentor Match provides a way for ACRO Residents to connect with ACRO Mentors based on their mutual interests and location.

Over 80% of surveyed participants stated that they plan to keep regular contact with their Mentor/Mentee in the future. If you are interested in participating in the Mentorship Program, please email us at mentorship@acro.org.

"I think that it is a great opportunity to ask questions that you may not be able to ask a mentor at your home institution. Also, specifically for me, I want to live in a certain area and I was paired with someone who is familiar with the area and gave great ideas as to how to proceed with making connections, etc. At my residency program, there really is no private practice experience, so it is nice to be able to talk about the differences with someone who has experienced both types of jobs and also non-clinical jobs."
